JOHN JORDAN is the Editor of the Warship annual and a lifelong student of French naval history. His previous books on French battleships and cruisers were huge critical and commercial successes. JEAN MOULIN, his collaborator, is a leading French authority, and the author of numerous books and monographs on the ships of the Marine Nationale.

The still born pre-WWI projects of each volume's subject are also touched up for background (a more detailed volume on those projects would be a definite must have).
